Overview of permanent make-up machines

2. Overview of Permanent Makeup Machines

Permanent makeup machines are specialized devices designed to deposit pigments into the skin on a permanent or semipermanent basis. These machines are designed for various applications, such as eyebrows, lip contours, and eyeliner. There are two main types of PMU machines: rotary machines and coil machines, each of which has different operating principles and areas of application.

Types of Permanent Makeup Machines

Rotary Machines

Overview and How It Works:

Rotary machines operate using an electric motor that generates a smooth, rotating motion. This motion is converted into a vertical up-and-down motion of the needle via an eccentric shaft. They are known for their smooth operation and precision and are very commonly—if not most commonly—used in the PMU industry.

Winding Machines

Overview and How It Works:

Coil machines use electromagnetic coils that move the needle up and down in a rapid, jerky motion. These machines are more powerful and are traditionally used in the tattoo industry, but also in specialized PMU applications.
