Aftercare
Aftercare

The perfect aftercare:
- Day 1 + 2 Clean your eyebrows every hour with slightly moistened cotton pads (with clear water) and gentle pressure.
- Day 3 + 4 Clean the eyebrows three times a day with slightly moistened cotton pads (with clear water) and gentle pressure.
- We generally recommend dry healing and avoidance of any kind of care and creams, but if increased lymph flow occurs during the treatment, a thin film of the recommended care may be applied the first night before going to bed.
- From the 4th day onwards, slight dryness scales may form (which sometimes causes the color and intensity of the pigmentation to disappear, but the color will become visible again on the surface as healing progresses).
The scales should not be removed.
Tips before and after treatment
BEFORE THE TREATMENT
- Alcoholic drinks, drinks containing taurine and excessive caffeine consumption should be avoided at least 24 to 36 hours before the treatment.
- Solarium or sunbathing should be avoided seven days before the treatment.
- As a preventative measure, herbal decongestants can be taken (e.g. Arnica D 30 globules or Traumeel tablets). It is recommended to consult a pharmacist.
- Dry skin should be well cared for a few days before pigmentation (e.g. with a peeling).
AFTER THE TREATMENT
Aftercare by the client is important for a perfect result, as this has an influence on approx. 70% of the result. Therefore, inform your clients in detail about the necessary behavioral measures as well as the tasks in the aftercare and healing phase in the consultations before and after the treatment. It is essential to avoid direct contact with germs. Please also point out to your customers the effects that incorrect care can have.
The following should be avoided 7-14 days after treatment:
- Swimming
- Sport
- Sauna
- Solarium and sunbathing
- Application of decorative or care cosmetics to the pigmented areas (e.g. cleansing milk, tonic, day/night cream, make-up)
- Constant contact with the pigmentation (e.g. through frequent touching or contact with pets)
Master tip: After complete healing, the pigmentation should be protected daily with a cream with a sun protection factor, especially when sunbathing or in a solarium. This will preserve the color intensity of the pigmentation for longer.
After the treatment, initial redness and signs of swelling can be alleviated with cooling compresses. Gel cooling compresses are ideal for this as they are reusable and easy to disinfect.

COMMON ERRORS DURING WOUND HEALING
Hygiene during and after pigmentation is essential, as mistakes in hygiene and care can have a significant impact on the result.
External or mechanical influences on the wound during the healing phase can lead to loss or change of color. The following should therefore be avoided:
- Scratching
- Peeling (directly or in the first few days after pigmentation)
- Scrubbing the pigmented area
- Firm rubbing
- Constant softening of the facial skin with wet compresses
- Excessive washing rituals
- Swimming
- Use of incorrect care products (wound cannot close)
Especially in the first 48 to 72 hours, the artist's instructions regarding aftercare must be followed precisely. The pigmented area must be kept clean, germ-free and dry. Recommend that your clients use hand sanitizer several times a day during the wound healing period (small hand sanitizers in liquid or gel form are available from any pharmacy or drugstore).
PERFECT AFTER CARE
To achieve the perfect PowderBrows or Pixel effect, the so-called "dry cure" is recommended.
For the first 7 to 14 days you should avoid any kind of creams, powders, make-up, lotions, etc. in the area of the eyebrows.
Good aftercare by the customer is an essential component for the perfect pigmentation result.
